Hi everyone.
Just joined today. Always been a fan of mini's since my mate got one for his first car, a rotten 850 that he spent a fortune on trying to get through a mot.
Bought myself a senior mini stock that I've been racing up at warton this season. Still finding my feet on the track and it looks like i'm going to have to spend some money to get competitive but it's all part of the fun.
Anyone with advice on how to get the best out of the car with as little expenditure as possible would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Well once you have a basic mini stock, trailer and some safety gear your pretty much there. You need a licence which cost £65 and that entitles you to race all season. The only other cost you have are fuel for the car when racing (about a tenner a meeting) and getting your car up there. Tires will last a few meetings so if you know someone who can get them cheap then your laughing. The only other cost you will have are buying bit to improve your cars performance and buying bits to repair it if you have accident. The biggest problem that I'm finding is keeping up with everyone else without spending a fortune.
