lol, i think you're just lucky there with your 998... my 998 stage 1 only had 46 at the fly and 31 at the wheels... my max speed wasn't reached... he just took it to 95... my 1100 is so torqey, its amazing... been doing some great overtaking... my mates standard 1275 is the same as my 1100... so im quite pleased i can now keep up...

My 998 (stage 1) was up to 47.5 at the fly last summer when it was last set-up... Although top speed was apparently 112mph... Don't think that'd be realistic with actual road friction and wind resistance?!

I love the idea of an 1100, not that easy to get hold of though are they? Or did you just stroke a 998?

Mine at Minisport:- 998, rc40 twin box, torquemaster inlet mani, cooper freeflow, 12G295, K&N cone, pertronix ignitor, hs4 carb - 64.5bhp! ;) :P

64,5 without a cam? thats really high.

If i'm right Ted has just stroked the 998 to 83,72mm, that engine hasnt a great power figure, but have a massive flat torque.

Nice one! Any small bore that gets near to 60bhp or 60lb/ft is doing good!

And you have to remember Rolling Roads will give different results to others.

Sounds pretty good to me! ;)

I cant remember what Lily got on the rollers, I think she did quite well for a 998, but when her engine was being rebuild and the head was taken off, it was a modified head :( Id quite like to see how well she'd do now after all the rebuilding! :P

its an 1100 a series short block that i had given to me.... didn't put the crank in a 998....

all rolling roads are different i guess... i really find it hard to believe that a 998 stage1 could get to 112 mph.... hmmm...

Don't know if this is in the right topic really, but ah well. I saw you took your car on a rolling road. How does this work? Like what do you do, give them the car and let them do what they've got to do, or do they just give you the figures and you set it up? Never really modified a car before, but looking to do it to a Mini soon. Thanks,

Carl
