I have an mpi steering wheel in my sportspack! The problem is i don't like the beige leather on it and i cannot afford the wood and pickett conversion kit for the Mountney steering wheel!
So i thought what about putting a paul smith plain vlack airbag steering wheel in. But i have come accross MG and Rover steering wheels that look identical. Would they fir on my 1999 sportspack?
Thanks

a bit off topic but can you fit an mpi steering wheel on an spi?

Not a straight swap, you'll have to swap the steering column as the mpi ones have smaller splines.
I converted mine to an MPI wheel, have a look through my resto thread in my sig

Only if you change the steering column and associated gubbins

An MGF/TF wheel is a straight swap, you can use your Mini badged airbag and you do not need to change the rotary coupling. Dont buy a ZS or ZT wheel these are different.
So this is a MGF/TF Steering wheel is it?
Looks really lovely. Thank you for your help.

Its is indeed an MGTF wheel but a MGF wheel will fit just the same but the centre spokes are horizontal not angled downards. I used the original airbag from my Mini so the badge was correct.

You could always get some Vinyl Paint and do any colour design you want?

Hey man, sexy wheel would you mind telling me what the switches behind the steering wheel do? with the up and down arrows almost looks like a paddle gear shifter.
Thanks
