Well 9am i had my mot booked
got there 20 to 9 and left it
Phoned at 11 and they said come down, went down and they hadn't touched the car, they said they would do it some time in the day
WHY BOOK IT IN AT 9 THEN?????
anyway it failed, a hole about the size of a penny in sill
wiper blades, which were new in april......
a small mark on wall of tyre
and exhaust clamp being naff and blowing,
So got the car back at 2, and took exhaust off, got a plate welded on the sill, brought a new tyre and new wiper blades, going to put exhaust on again then for a retest.

i hate mot's i had the saxo done and it faild on welding and a massive list of stuff
so took it to another garage and all they faild it on was welding so an hour in the garage and it was sorted lol
shop around as it seems to me most mot stations want money so they will fail on lodes and then want to fix it for you to make a fast buk

Just because something's new doesn't mean it'll work all the time or even be deemed in suitable condition. If you have a dirty windscreen it will ruin wiper blades in a matter of weeks - likewise if the springs underneath the arm have stretched they will not hold the wiper against the screen hard enough to clean the windscreen in a satisfactory manor.
Most minis wiper arms are bent beyond belief although it wont appear that way simply by looking at them - if the wiper blade isn't sitting straight on the screen because of a bent arm it will cause poor clearance, smearing and excessive wear on the blade.....
they wont have been failed for no good reason.
