I'd like to see a bike engined mini which is kitted out like a real car instead of a formula 1, to be honest.
You know, sound system, cobra classics,a DASH, etc...
I suppose when you pay that much for your bhp/tonne you want to squeeze every last bit out of it...
I wonder is a Hayabusa in a mini is more reliable than an A-Series?

I like this idea personally, retain some mini-ness

Hmmm chap above, roofless, no roof but has a R1 engine, comfy seats, dash, stereo etc IIRC. Yes, I think you will have to go RWD, but stand to be corrected also!!

Because of the way the bike engines output shaft exits the side of the gearbox you will almost certainly have the have the engine sideways in the car to acheive fwd.
However, if you have the engineering skill and creativity not to mention a bucket load of cash i'm sure anything is possible!

erm, mini magazine May 2009 edition
the front engined rear wheel drive variant I saw was bright yellow, made with the assistance of a locost style kit car manufacturer / assembler ??
