Hi Guys,
So I just scored myself a Dellorto DHLA 45 (basically a Weber 45DCOE) and manifold and I'm wondering about airfilters. I'd ideally like to to have a bulkhead box but New Zealand has modified laws that require any modification to the firewall to be inspected and approved by a certifier at a cost of $340 NZ or about 130 pounds. I'd already had this done for other stuff so I'm not looking to pay up twice.
Are there any decent options for air filters with the firewall left as it is?
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers
Tim

Im not sure if any webers/Dellorto carbs will fit properly without the bulkhead box, the most common air filters would probably be a single large K and N box, but I guess what you could do is put stub stacks onto carb and put socks over the top.
WHat manifold do you have with it? if its a swan-neck manifold the flow isn't going to be very good, its why the bulkhead box is there to accomidate the longer manifold and get a good air filter on the other end.
