howdy all... i just put in a stage 3 head and lcb manifold, all went fine. only problem now is that the car wont start! it turns over then theres a pop or a low bang like a backfire and then it just keeps turning over..no ignition. any suggestions?the car has been sitting for four days with battery disconnected. could it be too weak to start the car maybe?

i've just read that the inlet manifold can backfire if the mix is too lean? so maybe theres no fuel getting to the engine? is there anyway i can check this?

if you remove the screws that feed the petrol to the fuel rail hose then when you crank it should push fuel throu.

Do you get a spark when you crank it ? Get sum HT spark testers and see if you get a spark. If you were replacing the head you would have no doubt removed the Coil pack and HT leads.

Are the HT leads on in the correct order?

is this a stage 3 fitted to an MPi? if so the mixture is controlled by the ECU.
