hi people this is my first post, hope its in the right place

Im interested in buying this for my mini:

Can any one help me, i have no idea about cars if i bought this do you think i would be able to fit it? or do i have to have an alarm system fitted in my car allread to add this on? my partner bought a blue flashing light for his car and fitted it a a power source that come on when the car goes off. how would I find this?? Is it safe for me to look?? I cant afford an expencive alarm but i want some thing to flash in my car to make people think ive got an alarm!

Any help would be much apprechiated, thank you lots

Sounds like you just wire it across the perminant 12V supply at the ignition and earth to me.

hi thank for the help, how do i find the 12v supply and its it safe for me to do it myself? i wont blow any thing will i?!

Sounds like you just wire it across the perminant 12V supply at the ignition and earth to me.

You'd have to wire it up a bit more cleverly than just up to the ignition. Doing that will mean it's flashing when driving and not when parked.

I don't know enough about it, but will need some sort of switching device that will turn on when the ignition is off.

wire the red wire off the logo to a permanent live, then wire the black wire off the logo to an ignition live as these will rest at neg when ignition turned off then the shitford logo will flash when the key is not in the ignition
