Evening all,
my block has just gone for machining, cam bearings, crank and a rebore. I did want the centre cap machining flat, but was told that the engineers i am using can't do this as the mill/grinding machine is no good on cast iron.
Can anyone suggest somewhere close to me that will be able to do this.
I live in nottingham J26 of the M1.
MAny thanks

We are in tamworth but the Mrs goes to nottingham everyday so could collect it from you maybe?

it sound to me like they either don't acctually have the machine to do it,[miller] or just don't want to do it,are they acctually a engine machine shop,

Unless you're aiming for high rpm output engine (7k+), don't bother...
