Painting Orginal Dashboard

hi everyone just wondered if its possible to paint my dashboard in my 91 city e i want to paint it black would i need any specail kind of paints like plastic based kinds ?

Are you on about a full dashboard? If you are then keying the surface up with some light wet and dry, then using plastic primer should allow you to paint it with what you want. Just make sure the primer and paint don't react :-

yep the full dash . so something like 800 wet & dry with a plastic primer a black plastic based coat ?

i have with mine and did it with metallic BRG :)

so the dash will need ruffing up slightly to give it a key then primer & paint it ?

Yep, just so the paint doesnt fall off. My mate bought a wood effect one off me and painted it black and i was surprised at how nice it looked!
