i bought these off a guy on here, i think they look amazing but im struggling with fitting them
anyone know exactly how?
theres 3 brackets for each one and i presumed it would be one for each of the screws that holds the light on
i tried that and they seem to stick out way way too far

just wondering if any of you guys have any pictures that will explain or can tell me how to do it

cheers, picture below

Remove the outer headlamp chrome rim.
There are 3 screws holding the inner chrome rim.
Remove one of the screws and fit one of the brackets so it is against the side of the chrome rim.
Repeat this for the other 2.
The outer chrome rim then fits over the brackets so they protrude between the two rims.
The stone guard then clips into the brackets.

There is always about 1" or so between the glass and the guard.

However......
If you have aftermarket headlamp bowls, the screws might not be the same as the original Lucas. For example, the Wipac plastic bowls have the screws coming in from the back so you cant fit the brackets.

If your car is an Mpi, you also won't be able to fit them because they use the Wipac units as original equipment.

thanks for the very in depth explaination, i have halogen conversion lights, but they are original bowls ect and are the same shape
i dont think i understand how the clips work, from what i understand they just clip on the outside to hold it in?

ill have to have another try in a bit

I suspect you already had them mounted correctly. The tab where the screw goes through points outwards, away from the headlamp. Then the main part of the bracket stick out between the inner and outer chrome rims. As you say, the guard just clips into the 'wiggle' at the end of the brackets. Not exactly theft proof!
