Hey!
I drove my mini back from brighton to basingstoke in the pouring rain the other night and had some cutting out/misfiring problems because of the wet, but managed to make it home without breaking down!
...anyways, since then, ive noticed the exhaust sounds a bit louder than usual (its the standard 998cc peashooter i think) - maybe sounds blown?
also, after changing gear theres a funny sound, sounds weird but the only way i can describe it is to compare it to a really quiet sound like the beads on a snare drum being moved on the drum skin lol! only really quiet and for like a second after the change, when my foot comes off the clutch, then its gone.
can also hear a really high pitched intermittent really quiet piercing noise too every now and then just when driving.
all weird problems!! any ideas??
Thanks, Kirsty

Are you engine stabilisers ok?
Sounds like your engine's rocking, and maybe your manifold has started to come away. The hissing sound may be where its forcing around the split in the joint of the manifold.
Something is very loose somewhere anyway, get it on some ramps.
