i have had my 'ev' for 3 1/2 years now and drove her for a total of 9 months after an 18 month resto and killing my 1st A series. in that time i modified the 1275 to 286 cam and single 45dcoe breathing, along with the norm, duplex timing chain, lcb you no.

then on my way back from south west motor show last year, blew it up!! in the mean time i had a 1400 nova lux! the one with vaguely better front seats, anyway it went well and for all the trying in my £100 machine i couldnt kill it!!

then in august last year i had an idea!

arrival of my son and some cash flow issues, damn ressession, haulted the project but hopefully in the next couple of weeks she should be back in my workshop and on her way to killing A539s!!!!

after reading a few other projects im sorry to report im doing this with a veiw to 1600 16v in the future!!

yeah taken loads but they are on my old mans lap top at the moment, he is the engineer, i do a bit of fabrication but im a mechanic.

will get more pics up when i see him next.

so far all the work is done in house as it were nothing has been bought in so lots of step by step stuff(i say hoping he saved them elsewhere before his old laptop learned what a frizbee feels like!!) but more pics will appear soon as i say hopefully making a start back on her

Got fed up last weekend with watching the brown on the bottom of my n/s A pannel get bigger again:( as ev is still stuck in my garage at home and not at my unit making progress i got a sudden urge to take the subframe off and take it to my workshop so i can weld it up properly.

unfortunately it twisted in transit so no fabrication until i can bolt it back on!!!! frustrated isnt the word!

but at least i can get the bulkhead prepped for welding and paint
