I just go to motorfactors and say;

"Can I have some HT leads for a 82' mini"

Then they give me them and I go home. It's a good system.

Order the red Lumenition HT Leads from Mini Spares (part no. HV22) because their fantastic and not expensive either.

As above, red lumention ones are great. Another good choice is the grey rover performance leads, great quality for only 8 quid.

I have used the blue Lumention leads on three different engines and they have been spot on every time.

anything under 20 quid sounds good to me.... I remember having to buy them for me ford probe many moons ago and they cost a boat-load-and-then-some!!

On a related note, does anyone know what number Autolite leads can be used on a Mini? Auto parts stores in my area (central US) have never heard of a Mini newer than a '69, and I'm pretty sure those used side-entry distributor caps rather than top-entry like I have, so I'd need to know the number in order to get a set locally (otherwise I'd have to order online from a Mini specialist, and here in the US, they tend to jack up the prices quite a bit, not to mention I'd have to pay shipping).

EDIT: Hmm, I just found another source saying the leads are the same from 1967 to 1997. Is this true? If it is that'll make it simple for me as I can just walk into the auto parts store and ask for 1969 Austin Mini spark plug wires (since they don't call 'em HT leads over here).
