Just wondering whether anyone can recommend a decent set of halogen conversion lights suitable for a 1983 mini city.

Do cibie make any? My Dad keeps telling me that Cibie is the way to go :techsupport:

Cheers

The Wipac Quadoptic conversion kit is by far the best Value for money.

im also after a set of halogens but unsure which to get, are there any that are similar to the old ones that are fitted as i dont like the pertruding 10mm you get with some before it rounds off. is there any on the market that dont have this.

I got some Wipac lights, they are easy to install and give a better light output than the OEM sealed sort :techsupport:

I wasn't sure the crystal ones were legal for the MOT due to the beam patterning?

Go with Wipacs mate, as above good value for money, loads extra light and they don't change the 'face' of a mini like those angel eyes and crystals do.

yes. angel eyes make a mini look like it's short sighted or something!

Sealed beams:

Wipacs (sorry about the angle - was jacking the car up to sort the cooling system!)

They look the same >_< but the wipacs have a better light output as well as the fact that you can choose what bulbs you want!
