Im looking into buying a set of cooper s wheels and getting them banded from 4.5 to 7
does anyone know if theres any tyres to fit a 10x6 wheel as i want to run stretch again?
if not is there any that will fit a 10x7?
does anyone have any pictures of banded cooper s wheels?
and finally im running 8.4 inch brakes what will i need to change to fit 10s?
Many thanks for any help :techsupport:

http://www.bandedsteels.com/

and you can either get wheel spacers but there not advised, have to drop down to a 7.5 inch cooper S disk brake set up, rear drums you can change to 10's straight away, cooper S brakes are about 260 quid.

And tyres you are looking at Yoko A008's (although they've just gone out of production for unknown period of time) or A032R's which are road 'slicks'. There are others but I can't remember them! I think Falken might make a 10" but can't remember...

I think that basically you make the wheel wider... The only way I can imagine they do this is to cut the wheel in half and weld a "band" in the middle...

Just my guess though :techsupport:

EDIT: Looks like im right... see the bottom of the link from the page above...

banding can be perfectly safe so long as they have been properly.

and yes cooper s brakes or fiesta mk 1 brakse with metro flanges i think could also be used

Alloys can be widened too, but it's a bit different (not a 'band' but a 'ring' is welded in).

Yokohama A008 just re-entered production! They will be available again soon!
