Hi. I have a 1976 Mini that I am looking to paint dark blue or red. Particulally, I would like a color that looks great with a Union Jack. Looking for suggestions and pictures to give me a good idea. Thanks, Adam

You want the roof red or blue? Or the roof white?

How about searching Google Images for minis with the union jack roof.

There are a couple of members here who have union jack roofs on white, blue and red cars. Perhaps they can post a pic for you.

Oh right, it is usually helpful but not in this case.

mine's flame red with a uj roof which i think looks best.

white and blue look good as well but i think that the blues on the flag and the body should be the same.

Like mine!

With the Decal kits, you MUST have a white roof as its a blue and red sticker, and the white roof is used as the white parts on the flag.

My car is ALL blue, and its had a custom made vynal roof decal in 2 layers. Its got a white base layer, then a red layer ontop. This means.

a, It looks different to all the rest because the flag goes right into the roof gutter and dosent have a 4" gap all the way round

and b, The blue is the same blue on the body and flag!


A bit of a biased oppinion, but its true. :tongue:
