I plan to respray my mini in my detatched gararage at home. I plan to use extra lighting and extractr fans etc. the garage is 10 ft wide, by 15 ft long (useable length)
if anyone here has done this before, can you please advise me on what extrator fan and lighting to use, and where to get them from? I will plan to line the garage with polythene sheets etc.
Thanks
John

i resprayed my mini on the side of the road, out in the sunshine, with no lined garage, no extractor fans, no fancy spray booth, n it turned out well! just needs to be polished up and sorted! gave it 6 coats of celly to, so plenty of paint to polish up! sorted!

I sprayed cars in my prefab garage for 15years, all I did was put extra florescent tubes up & used to used a radiator fan to start with mounted to a piece of wood, later replaced with a clark extractor from machine mart. I never used to line the garage just gave it a good clean out then wetted the floor realy well before starting. Always seemed to work well.Hi

No charcoal filter fitted I just made up a filter in a wooden frome that screwed over the top. You can buy a 1m x 1m piece of filter from you local paint factors. The fan itself was a 10" CAF304 but they are quite expensive.

I masked mine of woth poly sheet. It worked very wee, but if I was to do it again I'd also put it on the floor. It would have made the clean up a lot easier.

Finally, I did not have any extraction. The result was ok for me, but it has still got some overspray on it. If your after a concourse spray job with little or no polishing I'd get some extraction sorted.
Good luck. I'm pleased I did mine, but I'm not sure I would do it again.
