If you use a 276 you have all the down sides of the 286 but none of the benefits.

Uhmble..12A2E its an spi engine, you've done the carb convertion?
For road use u'll have an improvement with all the kent 266, sw05, mg metro cams.

personal opinion..swiftune all the way..sw05 its a mild cam, not aggressive, with a great drivability at low revs, basically you'll have the same power under 3k rpm, with extra power above 3k up to 6,5k rpm. Thats good for a road car, on the road you need power and torque at low/midrange, unless you want to drive a screamer on the streets..

I've got an sw5 in my small bore, and it is very mild!!

When I pull the engine next its coming out and a 276 going in.

For my 1330 in Spudnik I'm gonna be going 286.

For a 1275 I wouldn't even consider the sw5, may as well just use an MG metro cam!!

I know what you mean, the sw05 is a bit tame, thats why im evaluating the kent 256 for my small bore (either sport and road use).
The mg cam is great for the 1275 and the kent 266 will be good equivalent.
But i dont think the SW05 for 1275 engines has the same 244 duration with a 0,28 lift as for the small bore, it will probably be somewhere in the 250/260 range, otherwise would be pretty useless.
