OK lads. So, today from MITP i brought a rear Austin chrom badge, and a rear cooper badge along with loads of other stuff. IE:

On the back of them, there are pins, to fix them to the boot.
But what i was wondering is, do you know a way i can stick them on, instead of drilling holes, and what i could use to do this. Links please?

Regards,

Luke

Try some thick double sided tape. Thats how badges are fitted to new cars. Some is super strong and definately wont come off.

Could try this stuff:
CLICKY

Trouble is that modern car badges are lightweight plastic and generally square-ish and (I assume) yours are chrome.
I wouldn't want to tape them on (and only with a very narrow surface area) only to discover they had
come off "somewhere" on your journey.

To fit that kinda badge, best option is to drill a couple of holes and fit them using badge clip like these:

Thats how they were fitted to old cars (austin, morris, innocentis..)

I fitted the exact same badge to my car with a later type boot. I cut the pins off and used some abrasive plastic strips almost like the stuff that you use to stick a tax disc holder to a windscreen. Had to bend the badge slightly aswell to fit the curve of the boot lid.

I used good old Araldite. Fast setting stuff so I had to hold it there for 10mins, but the good thing about glue is before it sets rock hard you can trim the excess with a hobby knife. Probably not too kind to the paint, but the missus says she loves the badge so it wont be coming off!
