Hi all

My brakes are feeling really weird but only on the left side caliper. when i brake the pedal is spongy wen depressed at times and the left wheel feels like its going to fall off and the steering palls to the left. I have seen the brake fluid and it is just below minimum. could this cause this problem ???

If it pulls to left etc - that's because the RIGHT side is doing nothing! Inspect that caliper - the pistons will be stuck - nothing surer - and the pads likely worn away. Low fluid could mean a leak - probably in a rear cylinder - check there too.

Perhaps give them a bleed so that you know there is fluid going to the calipers, if you have a 2 circuit braking system then perhaps 1 circuit is leaking somewhere?

Yes - because it's trying to stop the whole car on it's own!

I'm sure there was a thread on here not too long ago with a similar problem of pulling to one side when braking that didnt end well (might be wrong?) so if you absolutely have to drive back just take it mega easy, that means mega and not just easy........

Hope you get it sorted

Hub bolts ??? What are they ?? You said it was 'pulling' when braking! If 'bolts' were loose it must have been shaking about all the time!

sorry not been able to access a computer for a while, yes it was shaking and it was pulling to one side. it seemed to be a mixture of both. the bolts on the spacer thing that connects the wheel to the brake disc (not sure what its called) and my right caliper had a sticky piston. thanks all or your help.
