I've just got a pretty new interior (pics available soon!) and now my top dash rail (not the dashboard itself, the top flat bit with the vents near the windscreen...) looks even more dire in comparison. Was wondering if I spray painted it to match my new seats if it would look half decent or not? Has anyone else spray painted this and how did it turn out?

that halfrauds stuff works pretty well, all i would suggest is first cleaning the surface thouroughly with make up/baby wipes. saves shelling out for the recommended "degreaser wipes"

That looks fantastic! Did you need to prep the vinyl with anything other than primer before spraying?

Also is that standard primer or is there a vinyl primer??

Looks Good! ;D

i've used vinyl paint and never primed, just gave it a good clean first.

I too want to do this, can you remove it without taking the windscreen out, if so how?

I hadn't looked at it yet but I believe there are clips underneath where the dashboard fits in and I thought if you took those off then it would sort of pop off towards the seats without having to remove the windscreen... maybe I'm wrong?

Once removed the three retaining bolts, its a bit of hassle and swearing, but at leat it will come out.

there are 3 bolts along the underneath of the top dash rail, 1 at each corner and the other behind the middle astray, when i did mine i removed the astray, and got a crow bar to leaver the middle bolt out. it can be an annoying job to do; with a lot of swearing but it comes out in the end
