Hi
As one of my previous posts explains, i am trying to remove the glue on the rear seat bulkhead as part of my restoration. i am finding this extrememly difficult. i have tried everything, including applying heat from a hairdryer, a scraper, and used 3M Adhesive Cleaner.
Nothing seems to work, and I am getting frustrated with it. Its one of those areas which will not be seen, so my question is about using Barcoat isolator.
I will be using Barcoat all over the car. If i were to leave the glue on the rear seat bulkhead, can I also barcoat over the glue? Will there be a chemical reaction? i assume barcoat will be OK as itsd sopposed to prevent these problems, but what do you think?
Thanks
John

I would have thought thinners would shift it. If it doesn't soften the glue it should soften the paint the glue is stuck to!
Or get brutal and use a wire wheel in an angle grinder
As for the barcoat - just try it first, if it reacts clean it off and go back to sqaure one, if it doesn't then carry on and spray the rest of the car!
