hey guys just doing abit of work on the floors of my mini when i realized that the previous owner had waxoyled the floors on the inside!, i'm just wondering what the best way is to remove this stuff as it looks awful and i want to get it welded, painted and put my interior back in, any help would be very much appreciated as its taking me ages scraping it off lol

p.s i know it says wayoyl in the heading but i think its too late to change as ive posted it now!

Apparently someone tried a heatgun and a scraper :techsupport: steam cleaners won't work as its waterproof :(

As mentioned above, Wax-Oyl is EXTREMELY flammable which is why it should never be used inside the car. It also makes the carpet slip around a lot. Do not use a heat gun to strip it from the inside of the car or anywhere else. Pretty much any solvant will make it very simple to wipe away with rags. Dispose of the (now highly flammable) rags carefuly.
