Have you got an LCB?

anything more than a 2 inch will kill you std engine... I'm using a 1.75 on a high compression 1330 no issues, and a 2.25 would just make it sound like a jumped up chav box...

No LCB. A standard 1275 Mpi.

I don't want a 2" system, just a back box with a 2.25" tail pipe. Will it really make that much difference?

The bigger exhaust will have a deeper tone and it will be louder, however it is better to have a 1.75inch tail pipe as it is the optimum size after all, and when coupled to an LCB sounds very throaty, with a note that no chavmobile has.

youle loose loads of power if you fit a 2.25, your wasting you time. get a differant bore but nothing realy silly, dont forget its the diamiter of teh pipe that runs under teh car that counts, it doesnt mater how big the exit hole is.
