I remember you said before that your horn is working. If the horn works and the lamps work in all other repects the problem must be in the switch. A common cause for this is the stalk being bent or an after market steering wheel being fitted, both of these will simply stop you being able to pull the switch far enough to make the connection. Does the stalk touch the rim of the wheel when you pull it?

Sorry to open up an old post, but I found your fuse description list during a fusebox search. I have a UK 1995 Cooper Spi which has the blade fuse type of fusebox. I wanted to find a list that describes what each fuse is for. So I'd like to check whether your list in this post suits my car?
At the moment the list doesn't add up for my car... my fuse No. 4 is blown and it seems to supply the brake test switch lamp (but in your list it says fuse No. 10).

However, at this moment there is at least one fault I can remember. The driver's side spot light doesn't work (they come on with the main beam). I measured the voltage at the bulb connector and it's showing only a quater of a volt! I haven't checked for a bad earth yet. Are the spot lights fused individually (like with the head lamps)?
Apart from fuse 4, all other fuses are intact.

Anyway, is there a fuse for the spot lights? And are they fused individually (in the same way that each headlamp has their own fuse)?

Hi Dan, sorry to open an old post but i have a 1996 cooper and wanted to double check that the fuse list shown above is for my mini and if you knew where i can buy a cover for the box as water is getting an and has blown a number of my fuses a couple of times now?
Is your Mini a twin-point? You'll know it is as the radiator is fitted up front. If so, then you'll need to look up the later type fusebox ratings as the fusebox for a twin-point Mini is mounted beneath the dash (drivers legs) instead of on the bulkhead.
You'll find the twin-point fuse ratings in the pdf files provided on page 40 of this thread: -

As for a replacement cover, try Somerford Minis.
