Hi Folks, my Driver side Window is dropping, am guessing it must be something ratchet related. Could anyone suggest a cure please?

It usually means that one of the two glass support rails has either corroded through or simply fallen off the regulator wheel. Open up the door and have a look, if it's fallen apart it will be a simple fix but if it's rusted you will need a new one.

If it's just started happening, then yes, corrosion could have caused one of the metal runners to lose grip. The window being kept in place relies on both runners being solidly attached to the window glass.
The setup is simple, two metal runners with channels containing a rubber lining, gripping the window glass.
As you move the winder up and down, the mechanism with the rollers moves like a scissor jack, and the rollers move from the centre to the outside along the metal runners.
Last time I got new window glass from a salvage place, had to swap over the runners.. just taking a bit of care and having a soft faced mallet to get the metal runners back on the glass sorted me out.
If you're not sure, take the door card off the other side to see how the runner should fit on the glass.

If you do need new channels, they aren't hard to fit. Get new strips of the right rubber with them and as said above use a soft mallet. The channels are driven over the edge of the glass quite easily, it's just fairly delicate obviously. The Haynes manual tells you how to strip the door.

Don't do what I once did. I had to change the bottom support runner and changed the door skin as well as it was going a bit rusty (as they do!). I fitted it all up, tested it, sprayed the door skin and finally had to just put the chrome strip on which goes along the lower edge of the window frame. I lightly tapped it with a wooden mallet, but the glass was sticking up about 1 mm too high and it shattered. All the bits fell into the bottom of the door. I think I said one word 4-letter word which started with 'F' and ended with 'K'!
