Right, I have a solid state pump and a filter king regulator.
My pump has been flooding out my carb so I did a fuel pressure test on it today and got the following results:-
Regulator all the way off:- 6p.s.i
Regulator all the way on:- 4p.s.i

I'm thinking my Filter King isnt upto scratch so can anyone recomend a decent fuel regulator?

Cheers, Lee

Can i just ask a quicky please?. Ive been having fueling issues with a solid state facet pump and a filter king also, allbeit on a weber. Just wondered how you actually adjust the pressure, as ive lost the booklet thing. Is it clockwise (screw in) to reduce pressure?. I also feel my regulator is pants :D.

As far as im aware the filter king is designed mainly for the mechanical pump although i may be wrong.

You need one fo the regulators that the turbo guys use.

Same as this but if you look around you should find one second hand a lot cheaper

I must admit i did look online the other day, and a different facet regulator looked identical to the one above (genuine?). Also, i did read somewhere on another forum, that adjusting the pressure with the pump running doesnt always work? Have you tried adjusting with the pump off, then turning it back on and doing a pressure check?

I seem to remember with Vac oporated stuff like the FPR (I believe the mini ones are) you need to turn the system off before adjusting, else it all goes a bit odd if you adjust it whilst its under pressure - I had an FSE boost valve on my old car, needed to turn the engine off before tweeking it :D

No it should be fine. I didn't see if you answered this before in your other thread but which solid state pump do you have? There are three, you need the 18 gallon/hour pump for twin 1.25 SUs really.

I dont have twin 1.25 su's I have a single HIF44 (1.75)

And I bought it as a 4p.s.i-5p.s.i fuel pump. But it clearly isnt as its pumping it at 6!!!
I wonder if perhaps its perhaps pumping it so high that the regulator cant keep up?

I think i'll go for the cheapest option first which is the pump.
Will either of these be better? : -
