Now a colleague has copied me and bought what he says is a genuine 91 Cooper.
Some how looking at his car, something doesn't seem right and I cant put my finger on what it is.
How can I tell if it is genuine, and not a good copy?
What points differenticate a Cooper from a normal mini?
I've thought about breaking into his house and looking at his V5, but I don't think he'll like that

A standard 1275 wont get near a cooper!

Or, Im sure theres a website where you can put a reg plate in and it comes up with the vehicle.
Failing that, Take note of the reg plate, PM it to me if u want, and ill get my dad to radio into the HQ at the police station and get a regesteration check done on it!

I fear this isn't really true! Cooper engines didn't really differ from standard 1275s. The Rover Coopers that is!A standard 1275 wont get near a cooper!

Eh?I seriously hope he doesn't abuse his powers that blatently, i'm pissed off with police who do this sort of thing.

If you go on ebay and enter a reg plate, it tells you the number of previous owners, Date of regestration, model, make.
So I cant see the harm in a copper doing it through HQ rather than Ebay? Can you?

ummm yes i can see the harm in that mate. For starters it's a waste of police time back at 'HQ', which is bad enough. Plus the fact we're paying taxes to fund this tomfoolery. Makes me sick.Eh?I seriously hope he doesn't abuse his powers that blatently, i'm pissed off with police who do this sort of thing.
