Not sure of the exact type of headlamps but i know you cant just fit them on a nomal roundnose mini.

That cars a mini sprint, its alot lower with a roof chop and no seams. The wings are a totally different shape to a normal roundnose one, to tkae those headlamps.

Anyone know more about them?

The headlamps are from a Mercedes as are the wings. These conversions where usually done by radford or wood and pickett. To fit the headlamps you need to fit mercedes wings.

the merc headlamps are much bigger than those in the picture. the wings on the mini in the pic are standard wings, though they have been chopped about and reprofiled to suit the headlamps. i think vauxhall viva headlamps are closer in size and design.

As suggested, I seem to remember them being Cibie headlamps, as fitted to the Renault 16 which was just entering production in the mid-late 60's. There was also a MiniSprint estate which had these rectangular headlamps. Lovely car & just look at those much maligned twin SU's! Love 'em!
