Well, in 39 hours, we'll be at Brands Hatch!

So, Brands for 7:00 guys, be prompt please. Make sure that you get your wristband for the camping, run plaques, run pack, stickers and T-shirts from us. We'll have a big sheet of paper with all the applicants on, so we'll be able to tick you off as you take the bits off us. We've got a lot of people going this year, so a lot of stuff to hand out. We need to be hitting the road to Dover for 8:00 and checking in at 9:00 ideally.

10:00 and we'll be on our way! YESSSS! Can't wait guys, really looking forward to seeing the Sportshatch and the MKI crew. Might have to have a good look at some of the MKIs as I've always wanted one.

Directions :
Brands Hatch is situated on the A20 near West Kingsdown. Just 3 miles from junction 3 (Swanley) of the M25, it is linked via the A20 to the M20 and M25/26 motorways

Directions:
We'll be in a semi-convoy to get there, but the general consensus from the more experienced guys than me is to go via Charleroi (well, past it). So this means head down the E42. The route has been discussed many times. It's really up to you, but I've heard a lot of people say that the traffic at Brussels can be a pig. I'm aiming to go the scenic route if time allows, as it's soooo nice up in the border national park.

We should all have Euro road maps or satnavs, but if not, try and team up with someone that has. It's generally better to stick to small convoys (remembering that it's technically illegal in some places to convoy in a group). Groups of around 5 or 6 cars are easy to manage. Try and ensure that the guy or girl in the front car can easily get in touch with the guy or girl in the back car (CBs or two-ways, or mobiles at a push) in case anyone in the middle of the group has a problem.

And most of all, let's all have some serious fun! WE'RE GOING ON HOLLLLIDAY!!!

Does anybody know where the nearest petrol station to Brands is, on the A20? As we're meant to have full tanks when we get there, aren't we?

Theres two pending which way your arriving?

If your coming from the M25 way you'll pass it on your right at a roundabout about 5 mins before the circuit.
If your coming from the other direction you pass it before you reach the circuit, its only a minute or so away.

More than likely fill up at dover aswell, theres a BP just before you arrive at the docks?

well, it's ALMOST ready!

I'll be driving it over on my old wheels, to save tread on the 32R's, so I got the wheels out today, and over time, the laquer has died on them totally, so we all chipped in, took a wheel each, and prepped them for painting, Which was then done by the ever expert, frogpig.

So, over this weekend, I've fitted the new discs and pads, replaced ALL the engine electrics, fitted a full silicon hose set, fitted my oil pressure and water temp gauges, f**ked around with wheel studs and spacers a thousand times, trimmed down the rear studs and fitted 10mm spacers instead of 19's, raised the back coilovers, relocated the front top mounts and raised the front 5mm and stiffened it up. we've fitted my areo wipers, with the arms painted to match the roof, painted the minators black, made a custom pod to hang under the dash for my new guages, fitted a new pre filter before the pump, bolted in my fire extinguisher, fitted new screen fillet strips front and rear, and a load more stuff I can't even remember right now.


Meh. Too much talk.

tomorow I just need to bleed the brakes, fit my roll cage padding, and wire up a 12v socket, and then I'm ready to go!

I just remembered Matt saying to have full tanks when we got there. I'm coming from north of Brands, I think I've seen the petrol station you mean on Google Maps

Yes there's a Shell about 5 miles from Brands Hatch. I'll be filling up there but I can't remember what the place is called or where it is :s All I know is how to get there from Brands
