I am looking to swap out the interior on my Mini.
I have been looking at the Rover 200 Coupe/Cabriolet (Tomcat) interior but a set of MG ZR seats have caught my eye.
Will the MG ZR seats fit and allow access to the rear?
What other seat options are there?
I don't want any type of buckets.
Pics please.
Thanks
Jay

BMW Mini seats are a popular option, aswell as the Rover ones you mentioned!

I hope MG ZR seats fit as ive got a set for my clubman estate.
I plan to fit the front seats and recover the original clubman rear bench seat with the rear seat material from the ZR.

have a look in the Styling section of the forum - there is a 13 page long thread full of pictures of different types of seat fitted - very useful indeed.

Brilliant! Thanks.
The MG ZR seats look good but very close together and leave very little space for a centre console.
Decisions, decisions......

If you want any specific pictures of the MG ZR seats, i can take some tomorrow if you want?
Like mentioned, they do fit and are quite close together, especially tight on the handbrake. However this is just because i have mounted them inwards from the b pillar abit more. This then give adequate clearance for the tilt lever on the B pillar. If you want to mount the passenger seat in the driver position and vice versa, (i.e. the levers in the middle), then you could space them out abit more, hence moving them apart from one another giving more room round the handbrake.
With regards to getting people in the back, i recommend people not to get in the back
to be honest, this is only becasue i have my seat a long way back as i'm 6'4

Anyone fitted the rear seat from the MG ZR?
The rear seat unit is one of the reasons I like the Rover 200 Tomcat seat set.
Thanks James. I'm 5'11" so not so much of a problem squeezing folks into the back seats. Pics would be great. Send driectly to jsheathcoteATliveDOTcom if you wish.

I have sent the rear seat off to a trimmings company to be converted to use in the mini. They've had it for months now...
They keep on giving me excuse after excuse after excuse
