Hi all,
I hope you don't object to this post but being a wee bit of a Mini freak as led me to create a fibreglass seat(already make them to suit kit cars) which is ideal for the "Real Mini".
The seat has low sides to allow easy access but still keeps you in place, can be either base or side mounted.

The picture shows the seat in it's pre mould state. The mould will be ready for use mid October to allow time for proper curing.

Cheers
Mark

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Nice seat, what does it weigh and how much would you be asking for a pair?

Welcome to the forum, nice seats.

Have you got a pic of them fitted?

Oh and do you own a mini?

Hi there,
Yes we have a Mini (1986)although it's having some major surgery due to the dreaded tin worm, going for the streetfighter look with this one...stripped out, flip front, grp bonnet, grp boot skin and Mk1 rear light conversion (i make these too)
I would take a picture of the seat in the Mini but it's a shed at the moment and looks a bit sorry for itself with panels missing etc
The enclosed picture shows the seats fitted in a kit car.

Good question as most grp seats are like sitting on a park bench!! These are sculptured inside...arched back and curved base. I also have seperate grp sections that can be padded/trimmed, these could either be bolted into position of use velcro.

Picture shows the inserts in the high sided seat.
Cheers

ohhh awesome.

Clever chap!

How are they supported structurally in a mini? (I mean in the 7 type car they can just be fixed to the bulkhead behind).

Just out of interest.

They fit on the floor in kit cars not the seat bulkhead. There is a second skin bonded to the back and base of the seat that has bonded threaded inserts either in the sides or the bottom....stiff as a stiff thing.
Some mad geeza i know wants 4 for his Toyota Celica thing he is turning into a street racer....why? I dunno either as it's just a pig ugly looking thing.
