hey everyone, just reconditioned a lucas 65D dizzy to put on my 1330 when its in.

before the recond the black module on the side of the unit had been smashed so replaced it with one with two connections appose to the traditional 3.

basically i need to know which of these connections is positive and which is negative.

also what is ment by an 'electronic ignition coil' can i not use the one that is currently on the car? my car is a 1989 mayfair and was originally a 998.

you need to search the "AsK Doddy" and ML Motorsports forums using "65DM4" as a search argument and you will find a great deal of information concerning the 65DM4 uncluding wiring diagrams and coil information. This is one of AC Dodd's favorite distributors, he has them down cold and he responds to questions about them on both forums.
