Yeah well let me know how you get on, hopefully i will need to do that eventually.Ahh nice one didn't know you had one already, thats vey useful with the help from you dad, don't you have to modify the bulkhead to make them fit?Sounds good! Its on the list, but its a long way away from getting one of those, so it won't be for at least a year i don't expect so i don't want to think about it atm.
Yeah that was the same with me... i didnt even have my engine out or anything when i brought mine... i was just brousing ebay one day and stumbled across it... To be honest i couldn't walk away because it was such a bargin! It was £200 including posting and packaging!
The only thing was it was set up to a 1380, but my dad runs 40's on his kit car so he has alot of spare jets we can use to jet it down!
Yeah we will do... I am not sure how we are going to do it now because we dont have the engine in the car to know the axact place to cut away! When it comes round to doing it i might ask on here if anyone has any tips.

Thanks, the paint scheme is all right, but the quality is very poor by the previous owner and eventually it will be resprayed. Its got a long way to go but keep an eye open for updates as i have big plans. Georgei love the look of your mini now! cool paint too. Good luck

My mate did the debumpering, i made a little bit of a mess of removing the bumper tab but i think he did a good job of smoothing it, he's an apprentice body repair and sprayer so that helped a lot, also had to fill a slight hole below the left headlight and 2 rivet holes from some old bonnet clips that were fitted once. Also me and dad fitted the bonnet, wasn't the easiest but we did a good job in the end getting it to line up, we used aluminium plates riveted to the body to hold the pins, i'll get pics up of those soon.
Please let me know what you think, and any sugestions on what to do next would be great, i'm a bit stuck at the moment.

Then despite what I said about sorting the interior other things have taken over as I need the old man to help me, and he hasn't been around at weekends much recently. To fit I have a Tim rev counter, omex rev limiter, very soon some aluminium sheet to make door cards which should be free (hopefully), and I have a couple of little things on my Christmas list.
What I actually ended buying was a new exhaust, its a Fletcher cat to back side exit system with a 3" tip and decat pipe. The dtm box was getting a bit chavvy for me, and I just wanted something simple and a bit more classic looking, the end result is amazing, it sounds so much better and real unlike the fake sort of sound the dtm box's put out, anyways here's some pictures for you all. (Unfortunately that’s not my pit its my next door neighbours, but I’m allowed to use when he isn't)

Please let me know what you think, i still need some ideas.

Nice car! The fletcher exhaust sounds so nice. I've had my one fitted for nearly two years, its been left outside for most of that time and its still like new.. so its great quality too.
Good luck and keep up the good work,
Ian

I also did the timing on thursday with my neigbour, not 100% sure how much better it is but i raced it round the block and it felt 100x better, soo much more smoother and all round better power delivery, must have been quite a way out before, i think i remember him saying it was too advanced.
Also fitted my rev gauge and rev limiter on the top dash rail but ran out of time wiring it in, will post pictures when its done, did the windscreen seal and locking strip while the screen was out as it was knackered.
