Well i've had enough of the silly over heavy steering, rock hard ride and main stream looks so i'm going down the rally route rather than the usual style. Plus i'm really liking these retro styled mini's more and more so thats where my inspiration has come from. Should be good with some 10s on yours, you know steel is the way forward! You just need to get a tash for you grill now.

Cheers, well you've won me over, especially with that mk1 rally you posted, and you just don't see many rally style cars about these days and i love to have something different. Also i am awaiting an update on your project thread!

Really nice mate great plans.
The weller's are going to look real nice and yeah with the offset on wellers the 5x10's are going to look proper nice.
Have you decided what tyres you're going to be using?
Get some pictures up of the new grill ;) haven't even got round to trial fitting mine yet.
Keep up the good work.

Will get some better pictures for you soon, if i remember lol. :D

Thanks Ed, i plan is to paint them black for the time being but who knows they might end up white again, i'm still not 100% what i want.

The body won't be painted for a while either, as i plan to fit a new front end, at the moment i quite like the idea of gray or blue but i can't make my mind up yet, it would be nice to get it sprayed sometime in the summer, what i will say is that i will be doing the spraying myself but i'll have to see how it goes. ^_^

Ok another update, wellers are painted up in black and off to get tyres fitted, will post some pictures up when there fitted, in the end i went for falkens as they were instock at the local fitters and got a pretty good deal on them.

Also something came up for sale which i planned to buy eventually so i treated myself to it early,

a weber 45 dcoe, pretty good condition needs ram pipes or i think i might use a k&n filter, well pleased with it also need to source a weber box now, anyone know where i can get one? Its jetted for a 1275 but apparently it was running a bit rich on a standard metro engine so it should be perfect once i've got a new cylinder head on and a few other bits. Yay well happy can't wait to fit it now! :(
