Yeah absolutely, cost a fortune sending it to a body shop, i think i'll need to brush up on my mig welding though, its been a while, luckily my dad used to weld professionally so he can help me. From what i've heard it needs to be around 150amps to give a good working cycle and will be ideal for working on all areas of the car not just the body work, also clarke were recomended a few times so thats why i'm going with that one.OOOO shiny stuff. I really need to get a welder as well. Would save loads of money in the long run.

anyone got any tips how to get rid of this crap stuff that remains?
I know this was a while ago, and don't know if you've done it.
But white spirit gets it off in a couple of wipes. Works a treat!

Thanks, no i haven't done it yet i've been pretty lazy on sorting that recently, cheers for the tips.

I've just had to order more weber parts, needed new studs and bolts for the rampipe fittings so that i can fit the airfilter, even more money!

Also finished cleaning the weber but stupidly i assumed i didn't need ram pipes for my air filter, wrong! So i've just had to order a pair of ram pipes on ebay.
And went for a drive with my mate following me in his fiesta, its so funny how quick i can go round roundabouts compaired to him lol.

Need to get a straight cut box aswell for the ultimate retro a-series sounds.

Yep, really want to buy a race spec crank and conrods from the classifieds but i really should be fixing some of the holes in it before making it go faster haha. Anyways thanks for the encouragement mate, best of luck with yours too, i will be checking your thread reguarly.Bit like me then got so much i want to do enginewise, but lots to do before then.
