did the latter minis come with the same colour floor mats as the colour of there carpets when they were new mine is green carpet can you get that colour floor mat thanks

dont know but you can buy mini mats from ebay or i think a few of the mini suppliers sell them

mini trimmings do some good floor mats. they have a cut on on the drivers side one for the steering column so no cutting or the mat falling out of place. Think they do different colours too.

Cars don't come with mats, they're accessories. I have the accessory book from the MPi period here and mats were available in Horizon Blue, Tartan Red, Porcelain Green and Black with the Mini logo or in Black only with the Cooper logo. These were colour keyed to the leather trim colours available at the time but the car's actual carpets were not exactly the same shades. Although the carpets would have matched broadly speaking, a Horizon Blue trimmed car had a blue carpet for example.

All tailor made mat sets fit well. Try Newton Commercial as an alternative. The original late type mats with the Mini logo are now available again, although only in black. As far as I know the only specialist stocking them is Mini Sport.
