ive undone the brake hose that goes on the top but just cant seem to undo the bolt

You mean the rubber pipe to subframe one?
As in the one from the wheel brake to the subframe solid pipes?
I grind them off from the bottom. Just grind it off to alomost all off, then tap the rest of the bolt off with a punch,
