Doing up my 7 x 13 Superlights.

Stripped, cleaned, repaired, primered (several coats), cut, glossed with standard white (several coats), cut again and then went to put the final coats of OEW on !!!

OMG - it's "Cream/Yellow" >:)

Bought some old OEW original cans off eBay and I think the colour must have gone off or something, when sprayed onto the white I had used as a base it looks "Cream", compared against the roof and wing mirrors of my Solar/OEW MPi.

What's the nearest white to OEW that is stocked by Halfords??

I think if you take the paint code the bigger branches of Halfords do a paint mix for you of whatever colour you need. Actually I know they do because they did Atlantic Blue for my mini about a month ago. Don't know what paint code OEW is though, but I'm sure you could find out.

Halfords = bit like B and Q but for your car.

PS I'm sorry, did I like, completely miss the title of your thread last time or has it changed?! Maybe I am getting a bit old and decrepid. Anyhoo, is the dried colour one that you're happy with?

I did my roof in Ford diamond white from hafords, its not as creamy as OEW but it does have a touch of cream to it.

Halfords have been really good in the past for me, mixing paint. Needed a dark blue for my 1987 944S and they did it straight away- good price too.

However, a couple of weeks back I tried to get some 'Flamenco' orange for my Mini (a genuine BMC colour) and while they found the colour on their database, they said they couldn't do it because it has lead in it. I asked him to leave the lead out but that didn't work
