Hi, all, below is a pic of my Mini 95, the wheels seem to point ouwards, which I guess I can fix by adjusting the track rod ends, or should I say the ends of the steering rack that go into the tre's.

The angle at which both wheels seem to sit at looks odd too, they seem to point in at the bottom, the pic does not show how bad it is, but looks very wrong. How is this adjusted / set? I have static lower arms, and uprated, adjustable tie bars.

the caster can affect camber but that isnt the way of adjusting it.

if you have new suspencion it should settle down and as the car gets lower it increases in camber (applies to front of car only) if when its settled (assuming it hasnt yet) then you have to decide whether to get hi-lo's and lower it to get more camber if you dont mind it lower, or you can buy negative camber bottom arms which add more neggy (if you want to keep it standard height). if you do this you best off getting it set up by a pro and getting in set acuratly (as the toe will be out).

its also best to go for adjustable bottom arms, as 'static' negative arms, will only take away from whats already there, so if you 1º positive and add 1.5º negative arms, you'll only actually have .5º neg camber...

as for setting up, if your reasonably local to northamptonshire/surrounding areas, contact Dave ('icklemini' on here) he does set ups for mighty minis racing cars and road cars too!

No, camber :)

he starts off about tracking as i think the OP was/is getting confused with how to adjust.

To adjust the tracking (toe in, toe out) it is adjusted with the trackrods on the steering rack

To adjust camber negative/positive (top of wheel further out than bottom/ bottom further out) you need negative or adjustable bottom arms.

:)

and yet another happy customer of Daves! :)

by the way, he also does full tracking and corner weight setups. (and most things else on minis)

Set the tracking up first - then park on a flat horizontal surface - and hold a spirit level vertically against each wheel to determine if they lean in, or out, or are dead vertical!

Cheers everyone. I have hi-los and coil springs, with gaz shocks all round, but the front is stupidly high to allow the wheels to turn lock to lock with no rubbing. I am looking at getting the body chopped to allow the car to sit lower, which I want to as the car looks daft that high up.

I live in Epsom but am around Northampton semi-regulalry on way to Rutland when going to me family in law.
