Right, I'm a Mini nut with very little spare time or space just now, but I can't help doing more projects... I would love to do a Mini Limo. Could anyone recommend someone who will competently convert a Mini into a limo. I accept that I'm a fair distance from the main action, but that shouldn't get in the way too much.
I'd need to have complete reassurance that I won't be messed around, and that the quality of work would be absolutely spot on. I have recently acquired 2 shells which may be suitable as donors. I intend on restoring and assembling the subframes and engine, so this would make the job lighter for the builder.
This is very much an early enquiry, but I'm not a dreamer without action, I like to see my visions become real, so it will happen.
Any advice and proposals are appreciated.
Cheers, David

There's a few that advertise for wedding hire you could ask them, being Ooop North 'n no competition might be an advantage.

You will need IVA and you're likely to end up with a Q plate if you're not careful.

wow...all I can say is that paying a garage to make one for you will cost a stupidly large amount of money, and I seriously doubt that any garage would be able or willing to give an accurate quote before starting. There are far too many variables in building one that cant be decided in advance, decisions would have to be made on the fly as the build progressed.
I would be very surprised if any garage would be willing to take the job on in the first place, and if they did, the labour charge would likely be several thousand pounds.

And then you would have to pass the IVA test.

Mini limos exst because people build them for themselves, in their own time where labour costs dont matter.

All good advice so far guys, I agree with the cost implications, time etc. I have a pal who I think could do it, but he's so busy I don't think he'd be able to complete it. Still willing to listen to folks comments, and if someone knows of one that might be available, then I'm all ears!
Cheers...

go and ask a funeral service company, they have stretch cars and they should be able to tell you the companies that do them.
any decent coach building firm will be able to do the work and give you a price, remember its what they do for a living.
