There's a big 'Motors Special' in this months issue of FHM (191)! Its bascially a contest at santa pod between "the 14 quickest, wierdest and most fiddled-with motors in the land!"

cars included were a Nova, 1934 Roadster, Pug 205, Go-Kart, Volvo S40-T4, Skyline, Cosworth, Saxo, Bondi Bug, 300ZX, Mk2 Golf, Dodge Coronet an Impreza and a 300BHP Mini with MR2 engine with nitrous! :cool:

the mini did a 1/4 mile in 11.970 @ 118mph! it came 4th!

amazingly it was the 1934 roadster that won it! they said it looked like something charlie chaplin would have in his garage! :grin:

yeah it was that one 1984mini25!

was wheelyingin the mag too!

the nova was blue but it says the driver was Oli Danker. It's stripped with a turbo'd GSI lump!

I remember that mini at Drag Wars. And I remember hearing someone saying about this competition then, didn't know it was FHM though.

that mini was on revved up the MITP one it 0 -60 is something like 4.8 seconds :saywhat:

any mini can go faster with a different engine :nugget: , but that is not the point :cheese:

If its not got a "mini" engine then its not a mini, CLEARLY and kindly prooved by BMW :grin:

Ok but what if you put a mini engine in another car? Is that a mini?

Does a mini have to be bog standard for it to be a mini?

ok if you change the engine you might not be getting an original mini experience, but your getting something else out of a mini and that's a good thing.

miniman-pie - If i put a Calibra engine into a mini, its obviously not a Calibra is it!!! Does it look like a calibra? I guess your answer was.. No...

It's still a Mini isnt it..
