
Banded Wheels?

could someone post some pic's of 10x7 banded wheels because i have a set of 10x6 wellers and wonna get them banding.

they are 7.5x10" and the guy who had them hated the way they handled and would never go back (very heavy,) And don't forget about tires - are you going to stretch a 165 over them?

I was quoted just over £300 to get 4 6x10 Wellers banded 1" extra.
A guy on the Retrorides forum does it for £40 a wheel.

With banded wheels you really mess up the front suspension geometry, especially the scrub radius. This has a detrimental effect on the handling (though that car does look b****y goodwhat happends to the handling then? become real heavy?

but max width for a 165 section tyre is 6 inches, but people do use 6.5 and 7s with them but may find they are very dangerous or their insurance becomes invalid

Im getting some 12" metro wheels banded by alonzecustom.co.uk on facebook, bout £45 a wheel, n the bloke aparently is the best in the uk, ive seen his work and im very impressed, and they are NRT certified and pressure tested and use no sealent on the welds, and are proven to be as strong, if not stronger than standard steels
