had a third car sprayer come over last saturday to have a look, and see if they wonted to paint Vini, he told me to ring him today and he would give me a quote on him doing all the prep and painting etc, now he comes recomended to me by a friend of a friend who restores classic american cars (cameros and the like) and uses this guy. so this is a quote for me giving him the car on its wheels and him painting the out side one colour the roof another and then the rear bins and other visable bits inside as well.
now when the guys from the other companys came to have a look (neither of the other 2 companys gave me quotes) they turned up in fairly normal cars (one in a focus the other in a 106) now the guy on saturday turned up in this,

a ford model A hot rod with a 5L v8
which filled me with more hope as he understood about projects etc, as his hotrod started out as a £3k budget and has now spent over £18k!!
so back to the quote, i rang him today and he said for him todo every thing will cost me £2200. i thought it was a brilliant price, so now have to wait till 8th of aug when hes going to start yay!!!!

the dash is nearly done been doing lots of plastic welding to finish bits on it and then that gone be taken to a place to get flocked.
its all happening, and also waiting (excitably) for the custom headling from roofless/retro retrims!
