Well I seem to recall there was a prototype of a Mini Clubman with the Elf/Hornet rear end.

But back in the late 1980's, such a hybrid looking car used to appear at the Mini Shows (especially the NMOC day at Stanford Hall). It had a Clubman front, Elf/Hornet rear (wings and boot) and a Wolseley Hornet grille badge.

It also had Dunlop Denovo run-flat tyres too, so I doubt it got used much and it must still exist somewhere?

I quite like it! Looks less like a mini though.

now this is what I like about the mini,
somebody has gone one step further and created something different, some thought has gone into it, dont get me wrong I love the standard mini in its original trim, but love to see the one offs

It's certainly different, can't say i'm the greatest admirer of it, but I like it's quirkiness.
