Hi kids!

Just got back from Minispares Midlands, a two and a half hour round trip and about £20 on petrol. When I arrived at Minispares at just after 1pm it was well and truly shut!
I then phoned Minispares HQ to see what was going on: "....they shut at 1pm on Saturdays" I was told. When I explained that on the website it clearly states that they are open from 9am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday Minispares said " Oh, Midland isn't part of Minispares, is just a distributor of our products so you would have to take it up with David Manners." (David Manners is the name of 'Minispares Midlands')
To this I said that it does not matter, as the trading hours information on your Minispares website is your responsibility, as it is your website!! Responce: "Oh well, you would have to call back on Monday to speak to someone".

It does seem really petty but I wasn't just passing Minispares, I purposely went there to buy stuff! The attitude of the salesman was poor too, which made the whole situation even worse. It was like I was an idiot for thinking MS Midlands should be open on a Saturday afternoon!! :D  :) :o

It would appear that the 'franchising' (maybe not the appropriate phrase) of Minispares could ruin their reputation???

I have always used Minispares in the past, but if they are using people as distributors of their brand (as would appear to be the case), they should accept responsibilty for them. I have nothing bad to say about Minispares service in my personal experience, but obviously a few people have!

I would called Minispares Midlands on saturday and ask what the crack is, you lost out time and money to take a trip out!

when i lived in birmingham i very quickly changed to other parts suppliers as they almost have nothing in stock at minispares midlands and when you order through them you'll have to wait at least three weeks...

for gods sake there are a few suppliers around to choose from...

when i moved to leeds i found minispares north absolutely helpful and friendly. definitely my very first choice in everything. when you get there they almost always take their time to help you and answer even silly questions.

strange though that midlands and north is so different. but honestlt i don't bother as i'm living up north now...
