Bootlids are available in double skin, is what i have, and in my opinion single skin bootlids arent worth.

Bonnets just single skin, havent seen a double skin FG bonnet.

The use of composite panels is to facilitate weight loss.
For instance a boot lid made with fiberglass using probably 5 layers of chopped strand matting and a gel coat will rock the scales at 3.5kg. A steel boot lid is nearly 12!
I hope for the boot lid that i`m about to make will come in at under a kg. Considering i made the mold from a heritage skin it should be the same shape.
