I fitting low back front buckets seats in my 1982 mini, so my kids can still get in the back.

I am thinking about replacing my rear seat with a pair of small size Tilet GOKART seat for my two children has anyone fitted Kart seats in a Mini before.

Certainly never heard of it. I'm not sure about the legalities of it. I suppose karting is motorsport, so the seats would be well made etc. I'm not sure how the seats are mounted but I'm sure it would be possible, just depends how much work you're willing to put in, and if you could pass an MOT with them.

The seats are mounted just by bolting onto bars that clamp to the chassis of the kart. You drill your own holes in them so they line up with your kart chassis, so I suppose you could mount them through the bottom of the kart seat into the rear seat of the mini, then just have something at the top to brace them.

Could get them upholstered to match the rest of the car. I think that would look great, if you get time you could whip out the rear seat and try sitting the go kart seats in to see if there are any obvious problems.
