Right can anyone help me as i dont know where to look, tried machine mart but no joys on their website.

I am after tools to use when rebuilding engines but not technical tools like spanners etc got them after the more uncommon ones.

Plastiguage, ebay has some but any other places that may have a walk in shop?
Pipe brushes, for cleaning oilways, bores etc.
Degreaser/cleaner to use to clean the block and other things, i have hear parifin can be used?

Can people think of other tools that maybe required?

Found plastiguage and some brushes at frost.

Pipe brushes - nip down your local market and hunt out the tobacconist

Degreaser - motor factor and get a 5 litre tin of brake cleaner or cheap cellulose thinners/gun wash (better at cleaning but smells more!)

Other stuff -
lots of rags/paper towels
Cam/build lube
Small paint brushes for applying grease etc?
99p Stainless steel roasting trays from Wilkinsons - great for keeping nuts/bolts parts together in and can also be used for washing parts in.

Will the tobacconist have ones large enough for the bores?

Thanks for the advice :)

Use your hands in the bores!
If your hands are too big (or bores too small) go and find a willing helper - or at least one that can be bribed!

Kitchenware store for brushes, saw a load in my local one yesterday. Also you could try a homebrew shop for the brushes as they have to use them to clean insides of beer/wine bottles and associated pipe work. Hope this helps.
